365

“365” is a series of works painted every day for the length of one year. M.K. follows in practice the quote attributed to the ancient painter Apelles, “Not a day without a line”.
The 365 works where painted from May 2012 to May 2013, without any stylistic, subject matter or technical limitation. The only obligation was dimension and the effort to complete one work per day. The works are 20x20 cm and 20x25 cm. They have been created with a vast variety of techniques: mainly acrylic on wood but also drawings with pencil or charcoal, casein or silicate paint on mortar, monotype, true fresco as well as photography or digital printing.
The series was first exhibited at the Athens Art Gallery in 2013.
